Third party software programmers have been busy finding a way to cope with the speed and mechanics of RUSH poker, which was recently introduced at Full Tilt Poker to much popularity. From day one Holdem Indicator was able to capture odds and hole card information but had trouble keeping up with profiling information at every table switch.

Holdem Indicator has added some new tracking statistics to it's feature set to help more sophisticated cash game players monitor certain profiles better. The new stats included are 3bet percentage and fold to 3bet percentage. Steal percentage with fold to steal percentage being added soon as well. And finally Cbet percentage and fold to Cbet percentage.

One of the toughest things to get around in the game of poker, is actually losing a hand but knowing at the same time that you made the right play. Let's face it, losing a hand is never fun and hardly ever sparks a positive emotion. Your opponent hits his draw, somebody fills that inside straight, or a miracle river card turns his lower to pair into a full house. "That's poker." But that's no consolation - or is it?

Profitability in poker depends on consistent and repetitive quality decisions. Often times, when in a hand that requires intricate odds calculations, you have to look at each individual situation in the long term perspective. That means taking a particular hand into account and stretching that exact situation into hundreds, even thousands of hands.

If you're the kind of player who's fond of inside straights and other long shot draws, consider this: you have four outs on the turn.  That's all.  And it's not much when you consider that 42 of the remaining cards won't help you at all, which means the chance of completing your hand is less than 9%.  If you prefer expressing that figure in odds, here's the bad news.  The odds against completing an inside straight draw our 10.5-to-1, and you'd need a pot that's more than 10 times the cost of your call in order to make it worthwhile.

Phil Hellmuth almost loses his mind after this hand which preflop had him as a huge favorite. However both hands are marginal, and even though Bryan played loose, the thing with connectors is that they can turn into big pots. You always have to be aware of your opponent's stack and his propensity to dump it to you if things go good for you in this hand. The thing with Hellmuth is that he rarely lets his stack ride in marginal situations so this doesn't bode well as a long term strategy for Bryan either. he really got lucky here on the river, and then made an additional error in betting.
