Poker Software Updates

One of the best poker software features released of late from PokerStars - at least to me - is the ability to show one card when folding yourself, or getting your opponents to fold. Now I have long been a proponent of rarely - close to never - showing my cards, but the ability to only show one of them can help to mislead your opponents by not showing any at all. Let me give you an example.

PokerStars is continuing to improve their poker software on a regular basis, in spite of the drastically reduced marketplace post Poker Black Friday.

The latest full tilt poker software update has introduced a variety of changes, including the ability to Run It Twice in RUSH cash games stakes of $1/$2 and higher.

Holdem Indicator has added a state-of-the-art FLASH based hand replayer, built right into the software which allows you to play back entire sessions for game and strategy review. So basically after your session is over you can review it in it’s entirety. Just go to the tools menu and choose the hand replayer.

Poker Office has released an update to it's poker software. The most recent version is now 5.75 and includes several improvements including support for Full Tilt's RUSH poker.

Leak Buster, the popular poker software plug-in for Holdem Manager has added Pot Limit Omaha games to it's Pro Version. The software helps players identify leaks in their games by grouping similar hands and situtions and analyzing what the player does in those spots. When there is enough data for a pattern Leak Buster produces warnings based on widely accepted profitable playing styles. If your style is too far off you will be given LEAK advice as to how to fix the potentially money-losing problem.

PokerStars updated their client software today which included some minor changes to players:

• Added support for 8-handed Badugi games
• Allows player search window to remain open after you have selected a table from the search and remove player from your list feature
• Added a new lobby tab for Sit and Go Games leading to Satellites and Steps, Events, FPP or Cash tournaments.
• Looks like they also changed the wording of Deep stacks to 50BB.
• Time Zone settings are now easily manages thru the options meny from a single pop-up box

Titan Poker March 2, 2011 - Titan Poker sent out campaign emails today explaining how their software now provides a safer environment for new players.

The email, titled "Develop Your Poker Skills at our Safety Net Tables" targets new or infrequent players to entice them to play at tables that are offered under Special Offers.

These Safety Net Tables are programmed to keep experienced users off and allow new players to play against a more competitive field of peers. Any player on Titan that has a certain amount of player points in their account will not be permitted to play on these table. The blinds for these cash tables range from .01-.02 to .50-$1.00.

Titan Poker is part of the iPoker Network and does not allow USA players to play on it's poker site.

Poker Stars March 2, 2011

• Server restart in the EST AM causes incorrect VIP status changes for regular players. Players reported individual status being reduced to Bronze from Gold or even Super Nova.
• A Stars VIP manager acknowledges error at 2+2 and says keep playing, we will fix it. By late morning, VIP Star status was reported as being corrected system wide.
• The recent minor update also caused grief for Holdem Manager users who found themselves without a HUD on their heads-up tables. Seems Poker Stars renamed the tables to "Fast" and "Short" which may be the source of the configuration issue.
