PokerStars is continuing to improve their poker software on a regular basis, in spite of the drastically reduced marketplace post Poker Black Friday.
The sit and go traffic seems to be a priority with Poker Stars and rightly so. It attracts new users and keeps new tables loading around the clock. So with that, the latest poker software update includes several format changes aimed at speeding up the play and registering for games.
This includes a shorter delay between hands and all-in show downs reducing critical seconds of repetitive sequences. The time now has been reduced 2 to 6 seconds depending on the format (blind speed) of game you are playing. In addition, starting a tournament happens quicker too after all seats are bought-in.
These kind of changes make me want to believe that PokerStars is still thinking long-term about their poker software prospects, and will come into good standing once again as a world-wide market leader.

Online poker hasn't really been around for too long, maybe a decade or so, but as soon as it was, clever programmers were thinking about designing online poker software tools that could not only produce a winning edge for a player, but stretch the meaning of fair play.
Well the best poker software tools have survived an era of audacious claims made by many fly-by-nighters. Poker software like Poker Tracker, Holdem Manager and Tournament Indicator have achieved real staying and power market share largely due to following the rules set out by online poker rooms such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, yet they have displayed evidence of creating clear advantages for those who use the tracking software.
