If you're a user of hold'em indicator you'll know that the profiling features of this poker calculator are extremely valuable. Well the designers at holdem indicator have continued their domination of the market by adding yet another feature that allows you to filter historic statistics that you've collected on your opponents.
As you know, while tracking opponents in their profiles hold'em indicator can store statistics of your opponents for up to two years. By using the history feature in hold'em indicator you will instantly know if you have tracked an opponent before, as his statistics from previous sessions will show up. The new history stats filter allows you to break down those statistics using for new variables.
The first option is by player number. This filter will allow you to judge a player's behavior and profile based on how many players were at the table when those stats were collected. As you could well imagine playing ia short table, or even heads up, would require an opponent's style to be much different than if he was at a nine or ten seated table. Now you're going to know exactly what those differences are.
The second filter is limit type. This takes into account, what game limit your opponent has been recorded at. Was it a limit game, no limit game, or a pot limit game? Again, that's a vital statistic to know as playing styles could vary significantly depending on the limit of the game. They all require different strategies and this filter will tell you if your opponent is capable of adjusting or comprehending such a dynamic.
The same could be said for the stakes (or buy-in) of the game, and there is now a filter for that too. It's divided between low stakes $.50 to $1, medium stakes $1 to $5, and higher stakes of $5 and $10 (and higher). Again, the value of knowing this about your opponent and how he or she changes his style based on the level of table stakes could be significant too.
Even though hold'em indicator collects data for up to two years, the final feature of the history stats filter allows you to segment that data into a number of months. So if you have data on opponent that is one year old, you can get a window snapshot of that for let's say, the last two months or even one month. This could be a clear indicator if a player is improving, changing his style, or a completely different player altogether - representing friends or family members playing the same ID.
If you profile your cash game opponents AND play a variety of levels, limits and number of opponents, then this feature will be your new favorite in Holdem Indicator, because you can quickly match the data to your current game and opponents. You will also be able to have the criteria different for each table you are playing at too, in the case of multi-tabling.

Poker software like Poker Tracker, Holdem Manager and Tournament Indicator have achieved real staying and power market share largely due to following the rules set out by online poker rooms such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, yet they have displayed evidence of creating clear advantages for those who use the tracking software.
