Some of the online databases are getting whacked by PokerStars once again, this time having to do with limiting the information available to track random players in large field sit and go tournaments. As it is now, the stats may only be available if you have actually participated in the tournament. This will also effect (distort) many players performance percentages if winning from these tournaments are not included.

PokerStars on OPR

Recent coverage changes - April 2009

PokerStars recently changed the results display of certain SNG tournaments (180-360). Players that did not participate in the tournament can no longer view the results. Instead of listing the players in the result box, they display the following message, "Additional tournament information is available to the tournament participants only"

This has eliminated our ability to collect the results for these SNG tournaments.

We expect PokerStars to extend this to all regular SNG's in the near future if they don't decide to reverse their decision and we encourage you to write an email to PokerStars ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) and kindly ask them to reverse their decision if you want your PokerStars tournaments tracked by OPR.

Please don't email OPR about the missing PokerStars SNG tournaments as we do not add them manually.

See the coverage page for what tournaments we track in general.

Poker software review quotes:

Online poker hasn't really been around for too long, maybe a decade or so, but as soon as it was, clever programmers were thinking about designing poker tools that could not only produce a winning edge for a player, but stretch the meaning of fair play.

Well the best poker software tools have survived an era of audacious claims made by many fly-by-nighters. Poker software like Poker Tracker, Holdem Manager and Tournament Indicator have achieved real staying and power market share largely due to following the rules set out by online poker rooms such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, yet they have displayed evidence of creating clear advantages for those who use the tracking software.
