One of the most professional poker APPs on the market now, this odds calculator is a full functioning, poker math geek's heavenly gadget. I recently downloaded Annie Duke's poker math App and quickly deleted it from my iPhone after I realized the features of the Royale Poker Odds calculator.

Add two hole cards and stir...

poker software reviews

As with most poker odds calculators, the process starts with choosing two hole cards. The RPO created a unique way of doing this where you just select the value of the card first, then the suits of those cards show up in a larger display. This cleverly saves space and keeps the display of the cards manageable to the lower 3rd of the screen.

Position, opponents and expected value.

Next you use the position slider (1) to recreate where on the table you got dealt this hand. As we all know your hand strength increases in value if you are first in from a later position. You will also see a graphic (2) representing the strength of your hand once you choose it. The graphics range from 4 star leaf crests to a garbage can. If you click that image you will also see the Sklansky group ranking for it as well as a lesser known Hellmuth ranking. You will also choose the amount of players (3) at the table and all this data will give you a hand ranking (4) and a win or tie percentage (5).

Add community cards.

After selecting flop cards you will now see your chance of hitting a draw (1), or if you are have a strong hand how likely it will be if someone else comes from behind (2).

Explore more about this hand.

You can dig a little deeper too if you like, by estimating the type of hand or even a range your opponent is on and seeing how well your hand will stand up.

The Royale Poker Odds calculator also has built in features for comparing common heads-up situations, the Sklanksy matrix, and quick answers to common probabilities and math scenarios that come up in poker quite often. An excellent tool and from what I can see the only poker odds calculator you will need on your iPhone.

Includes a speech recognizer for common poker terms, allowing you to input data verbally.

Excellent graphics and speed as well. Product is reliable and professionally designed.

Poker calculator review quotes:

"You would think with guys like Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey tossing it up on Full Tilt every night with hundreds of thousands of dollars at Omaha tables there would be a demand for such an enormous product, but outside of the two big sites, Omaha tournaments are rather thin. That being said, next to hold'em it is the choice of games and is a natural step for players to expand their skill and game repertoire. So from here, it only has UP to go." - from Omaha Indicator
