Poker Dominator

Poker Bankroll Session Tracker

How successful are you in the online poker world? What is your best game? How often and how long do you play for? How strong are your opponents? What is your win rate per hour? Do you have a most profitable time period to play? These are just a few of the many questions any serious poker player should be asking.

The success or failure of a poker player over time depends upon a large number of controllable and uncontrollable variables - personal skill, knowledge and experience, level of research, good table selection, mental toughness, patience and discipline, performance of opponents, and short/long term statistical variance (run of the cards) are just a few of the factors any player would put high up their list.

However it is impossible to be consistently successful in the modern game without a detailed analysis of performance, highlighting the reasons for success or failure either in particular hands or over a session, with the aim of improving future results. There are many software tools on the market to assist the poker player, but at a price many players are unable (or unwilling) to pay.

The Poker Dominator website is free to use and uses flash based graphs like this one.

POKER DOMINATOR (www.pokerdominator.com) fills the gap perfectly. The FREE web based tracking software allows the novice analyst to take the first steps into the world of recording poker performance for future profit in a simple, effective and cost free package. It allows you to track all your sessions and results in one place (SNG, MTT and CASH games) and provides numerous useful charts and reports as well as an excellent bankroll management summary.

The data recorded for each session include date, site, game/limit, buy in, cashout, profit, rate per hour and place finished in any SNG/MTT, as well as a note facility. Total and Average Earnings, winning/losing streaks, Standard Deviation, BB/Hour, ROI and other key ring game and tournament data is automatically available. A multiple filter option allows tailoring of charts, tables, reports and session information - and each session may be defined as difficult, moderate or soft. A neat feature allows data to be imported from various sources or exported in .CSV format.

The bankroll section allows you to track all money movements from each session in graph or table format and highlights site bonuses, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and rake back separately.

Signup only requires an email address and a password. Data entry takes under a minute per session. Information on pot odds and a pre-flop hand helper are also available.

Poker Dominator is very easy to use, with simple data entry fields for each session. Ring games and Tournaments (SNG/MTT) are treated separately for input, analysis and reporting. It only takes under a minute to enter session data and this is automatically updated to all reports.

Poker Dominator functions well both for manual input of session information or for automatic import using their Excel Template. There is a simple one click process between the various sections (data entry, sessions, reports, bankroll,). The ability to filter tables and graphic reports is provided in an easy to use multiple choice ‘pick and mix’ format and the edit/delete function allows corrections to be made without any fuss.

Poker Dominator allows the user to input the majority of required information. There are excellent summary tables of key data, the graphs and charts are clear and the level of flexibility in the filter options is logical and effective. However the number of hands per session is ignored, removing the BB/100 hands option, a key part of any analysis (although BB/hour is available). A more detailed section on Variance and Standard Deviation numbers and the inclusion of the Bankroll Comfort Level Risk Indicator would be of benefit.

Poker Dominator provides many similar tables, charts and graphs to the more expensive competitors. However the focus on simple but effective reporting, using Key Performance Indicators to highlight streaks and trends in performance as well as the excellent Bankroll Management section, are unique features that require this product to be part of the software tools for any serious poker player - especially a player on a low budget.

Poker Dominator provides an ability to import raw session data manually or automatically. Data may be entered manually into the Excel Template provided, or imported automatically from Poker Tracker or Poker Charts. The ability to export automatically (in .CSV format) is also provided.

Poker Dominator is a FREE web based service with simple data entry, clear and useful tables, charts and reports with multi filter options and an excellent Bankroll Management section. There are many more detailed analysis packages available at a price, but this is an excellent product for the low budget poker player.

Poker Dominator is an excellent product and a good starting point for a player new to the idea of game analysis and does not want to spend money finding out what it is all about.

Poker software review quotes:

Online poker hasn't really been around for too long, maybe a decade or so, but as soon as it was, clever programmers were thinking about designing poker tools that could not only produce a winning edge for a player, but stretch the meaning of fair play.

Well the best poker software tools have survived an era of audacious claims made by many fly-by-nighters. Poker software like Poker Tracker, Holdem Manager and Tournament Indicator have achieved real staying and power market share largely due to following the rules set out by online poker rooms such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, yet they have displayed evidence of creating clear advantages for those who use the tracking software.
